8S: Sending Files From Chroma

PUBLISHED

To send DST files from Chroma Digitizing Software using your computer to an embroidery machine with a 8S control panel, you must have the 8S panel connected to your network by WiFi or using an ethernet cable and Chroma Version 7.22 or higher.

  • Start by taking note of the IP Address on your panel.
  • Make sure the 8S control panel is connected to the same network as the computer Chroma is being used from.
  • Save the File as a DST File.
  • On Chroma, click on 'File' then scroll down and click on 'Send to Machine'.

  • Click on 'My Machine' and then click on 'Edit'. A new window will pop up.
  • For Type, select 'RICOMA NET'.
For Address, input the IP Address your 8S control panel has assigned.
    Then press 'OK'.

  • Then press 'Send'.

  • If done correctly, a box should appear and say "Done".

At this point, the design will be sent to the 8S Control Panel, and it will appear inside the 'File' tab.

Below is a video guide for connecting your panel to your network, as well as instructions on how to set up Chroma:
