To center the head, perform the adjustment below:
- Turn the Main Axis on the back of the machine to 100°.

- Remove the top cover on your machine. There are 2 screws on each side.
- Disconnect the LED Light Cable.
- Remove the screw covers on the right side of the machine. You can use a needle to remove them.
- Remove the screw that is above the metal bracket that holds the Control Panel, and the 2 screws in the front right side.
- Remove the top right side cover.
-
Remove the left side cover.
-
Lift up on the cover and then pull it towards you. The cover should come off the machine.
- Remove the 2 Allen screws on the top of the black bracket.
- Lift up the black bracket.
- Loosen the Allen set screw on the white Color Change Cam.
- Turn the Color Change Cam by pushing on the teeth of the serrated gear. Rotate the white cam half a turn until you see the next set screw hole.
- Stop the gear with the hole facing vertically straight up.
-
Loosen the next Allen set screw on the white Color Change Cam.
- With both set screws loosened, the head should now be able to slide left and right.
- Make sure there is a needle aligned with the needle plate hole to avoid a needle hitting the needle plate.
- Rotate the degree wheel 2 or 3 times and stop precisely at 172°.
- The needle should be down inside the needle plate hole.
- Check that the needle is perfectly centered in the needle plate hole with even space between the left and right sides of the needle. Tap the sides of the head left and right until the needle is precisely centered.
- Once the needle is centered, tighten the set screw on the color change cam while being very careful not to move the head.
- Once you have tightened the screw, press the 100° button to bring the needle up.

- Turn the Color Change Cam by pushing on the teeth of the serrated gear. Rotate the white cam half a turn until you see the next set screw hole.
- Stop the gear with the hole facing vertically straight up, and tighten the set screw.
- Place the black bracket back on while being careful not to damage the sensor on the metal blade.
-
Install the 2 Allen screws on the top of the black bracket. Make sure the bracket is positioned correctly so the metal blade slides between the sensor without touching it.
- Install the side covers back on the machine.
- Connect the LED light cable and install the top thread course cover.
Once all the covers are back on and screwed in, you have finished centering the head.
