CHT/CHS: No Needle / 241 Needle Error

PUBLISHED

When your CHT2 control panel displays a "241: Needle Error," it indicates that there is no needle over the working position, or it is not positioned correctly.

In order to correct the problem, please follow these steps:

First, ensure that the Main Axis is at 100° degrees and that all the take-up levers on each of the heads are at the same height/position.

Once the Main Axis is at 100°, you will need a open-ended wrench to turn the Color Change Gear on the right side of the machine, under the touch panel.

The panel will show a "0" when not correctly positioned over a needle. Slowly turn the color change gear while keeping an eye on the needle indicator on the panel until it shows a whole number (1-15).

After you find a needle number, you can test the machine using the 100° button to confirm the needle is positioned correctly.

If you receive the error message again, please repeat the steps above.

If no further error messages pop up, you have fixed your 241: Needle Error and are ready to use the machine.

The following video demonstrates how to fix the error using the instructions above: CHT2: 241 Needle Position Error
