The steps below will guide you through installing a new needle or replacing a broken or damaged needle.
Step 1: Look at the bottom area of the head where the needles are located.
Step 2: Find the needle that needs to be replaced, then slightly loosen the needle set screw until the needle slides down and out.
Step 3: Once the old needle is out, you will then slide a new needle up through the presser foot hole and into the needle bar. Make sure that the needle you are installing is facing the correct way, with the Scarf of the needle facing towards the back of the machine.
Step 4: With the new needle installed, keep the needle eye facing forward and tighten the needle set screw until the needle is held tight. Do not over-tighten the set screw or it could be stripped and damaged.
After the needle is in place and the set screw is tight, you are finished replacing the needle and are ready to embroider.
