Control Panel Overview – TC Series Machine with 7s Panel

Home Screen Layout

The home screen is divided into two main sections:

  • Left Display Area Shows the embroidery design, file size, and design location.
  • Right Main Menu Contains 20 touch keys for direct control of machine functions.

Primary Touch Keys (Home Panel)

  • Top Row (Left to Right)
    • Needle Switch Display (Working Needle and Shaft Needle key)
    • Color Sequence Setting Display key
    • Color Change Mode key
    • Stitch Floating Mode and Forward Settings key
    • Embroidery Status key (also the first icon in the right-hand column)

Speed Adjustment Controls

  • Plus Icon (Right) Increases machine speed
  • Minus Icon (Left) Decreases machine speed

    • Top Number Selected speed
    • Bottom Number Actual running speed (0 if machine is stopped)

Additional Function Keys

  • Frame Out key First icon, third row
  • Return to Origin key First icon, fifth row
  • Trace Design key Third icon, third row
  • Go to Endpoint key Third icon, fifth row

Directional Controls

  • Frame Shift and Frame Shift Speed Center icon controls direction and speed, surrounded by four directional arrows: up, down, left, and right

Connecting a Computer to the Machine (Ethernet / EMV Link)

  • Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the machine. The Ethernet port is located behind the rear panel. Connect the other end to the Ethernet port on the computer.
  • Open the folder downloaded from the provided link and double-click the setup file to launch the installation wizard. When prompted, select Yes to allow installation, then click Install. Once installation is complete, select OK and close all open windows.
  • To configure the computer’s IP address, open Settings and select Network and Internet. Choose Ethernet, then select Change Adapter Settings. Double-click the Ethernet adapter and select Properties.
  • Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) and select Properties. Enable Use the following IP address and enter the following values:
  • IP address 192.168.0.150
  • Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
  • Click OK and close all remaining windows.
  • Open the EMV Link software using the desktop shortcut. Select Settings and verify the following values:
  • Start IP 192.168.0.50
  • Termination IP 192.168.0.53
  • On the machine control panel, navigate to Menu, then select IP. Confirm the IP address is set to 192.168.0.50. Press Escape to exit.
  • Return to the computer and select OK. A confirmation message will appear indicating the settings were successfully applied.
  • Go to the Search tab in EMV Link and select the machine displayed at the bottom of the screen. A message indicating Connection Successful should appear next to the IP address ending in .50.
  • The machine control panel will display a message confirming the connection. While connected, panel functions will be disabled.
  • To transfer a design, select the Design tab and click Browse. Locate the design file, select it, and click OK. Select the design and click Download. Wait for the transfer to complete.
  • Once finished, close the EMV Link software to disconnect. The connection message will clear from the panel, and the transferred design will be available in the machine’s design menu.

Setting Design Placement and Tracing

  • Use the arrow keys to move the design to the desired location within the hoop.
  • Before starting embroidery, press the Trace key located at the top right of the arrow keys. The machine head will move to needle one and trace a rectangular boundary around the design area.
  • Confirm that the needle remains fully within the hoop during the trace cycle. If the needle approaches or crosses the hoop boundary, reposition the design and trace again.
  • For caps, use the same arrow key controls to adjust the design position before tracing.

Adjusting Machine Speed

  • To adjust the machine speed, use the plus and minus keys located inside the white rectangle on the control panel. These keys change the speed in preset increments.
  • Use the center arrow key to confirm or fine-tune the adjustment. The selected speed will apply immediately to machine operation.

Loading a Design from USB

  • Insert the USB drive into the machine. Press the File key to display available files.
  • Select the design from the USB list and press the Transfer key. Press OK to confirm. The design will be saved to the machine’s internal memory.
  • Navigate to the Machine tab and scroll to the final page of stored files. Select the transferred design and press OK to load it.

Floating Forward and Backward in a Design

  • If a thread break occurs and stitches need to be recovered, enter Float Mode by pressing the Embroidery Status key next to the lock icon.
  • Use the Stop key to move backward through the stitch sequence. When the desired stitch position is reached, press Stop again to pause.
  • Before resuming embroidery, return to the Embroidery Status screen and press Start.
  • Alternatively, use the Add key within the Embroidery Status menu to subtract a specific number of stitches. After adjusting, return to the Embroidery Status screen and resume stitching.

Selecting Hoop Size

  • Access the Design Set menu from the control panel. Locate the hoop selection option in the bottom-right corner.
  • Select the white hoop selection box to display available hoop sizes. Choose the hoop currently in use and press OK to register the selection.

Selecting Thread Colors Using a Run Sheet

  • Enter the Color Sequence menu. Using the run sheet as a reference, input thread colors in the order they will stitch.
  • Press OK after each color entry to save the sequence correctly.
