Move the machine to needle one. Loosen the thread rack knobs and remove the rear plastic cover. Remove the front cover using a 3 mm Allen key.
Disconnect the light cable and remove the thread break sensor from the black flag. Slide the front cover left, lift upward, and rest it on the thread rack. Remove the needle bar front plate.
Remove the middle thread module and take-up lever covers. Remove the two hex screws securing the head and carefully pull the head forward and upward.
Remove the reciprocator cover. Loosen the lower-left hex screw with a 2.5 mm Allen key. Remove the T-bar screws and lift out the T-bar. Pull the left shaft upward and remove it.
Slide the reciprocator out. Apply white lithium grease to the replacement unit. Align the reciprocating arm with the rear peg. Ensure the flat side of the shaft faces the lower-left locking screw.
Insert the shaft through the lower bearing, ensuring clearance of the oil hole. Lightly tighten the locking screw. Reinstall the T-bar, allowing minor movement.
Reinstall the head on needle one, aligning guide rails, bearings, and hook. Secure the head screws. Move to needle fifteen and tighten the exposed bottom screw, then repeat on needle one.
Fully tighten the T-bar screws. Reinstall all covers, reconnect cables, reinstall modules, and tighten the thread rack knobs.
