Troubleshooting: X Sensor Check & Grinding Noise on Creator 10-Needle Embroidery Machine

PUBLISHED

If your machine's pantograph (the moving part that holds the hoop) is shifting to one side and making a grinding noise, follow these steps to troubleshoot:

Step 1: Remove the Plastic Cover

To check the sensor, you’ll need to remove the pantograph’s plastic cover:

  • Left side: Unscrew the marked screws.
  • Right side: Unscrew the marked screws.
  • Back: Unscrew any additional screws.

Step 2: Manually Move the Pantograph

  • Turn off the machine for safety.
  • Gently move the pantograph by hand.
  • Check if the metal piece aligns correctly with the black slit on the sensor (it might look slightly different on your machine).

Step 3: Clean the Sensor

If the metal piece is aligned properly but the issue persists:

  • Clean the black part of the sensor using compressed air or a lint-free cloth with 70%+ isopropyl alcohol to remove dust or debris.
  • After cleaning, turn the machine back on and test to see if the issue is resolved.
