How to Troubleshoot Consistent Thread Breaks on Your Creator Embroidery Machine

PUBLISHED

If your embroidery machine is experiencing consistent thread breaks, follow these steps to identify and fix the issue.

Step 1: Determine If the Issue Affects All Needles or Just a Few
If only one or a few needles are breaking thread, the issue could be related to the thread path or tension:

  • Thread Path: Check that the thread is correctly running through all guides, tensioners, and hooks. If the thread is not in the right path, it can cause unnecessary friction and breakage.

  • Tension: If the upper or lower tension is too tight, it can cause frequent thread breaks. Loosen the tension knobs by 1 or 2 turns and test again. Also, check that the wheel under the middle knob (marked in orange) spins when you pull the thread from the bottom.

Step 2: Adjust Sensor Sensitivity (If All Needles Are Affected)
If thread breaks occur on all needles and the machine stops after a few seconds, the sensor sensitivity may be too high.

  • Open Settings in the bottom right corner of the panel.
  • Press Embroidery Parameters.
  • Go to the Thread Break tab.
  • Find A01. Thread Break Sensitivity.
  • Make sure it is set to 6 (the average setting).
  • If thread breaks continue, try increasing it to 7, 8, or 9 and test the machine.

Step 3: Test and Monitor

After making these adjustments, run the machine again to see if the thread break issue is resolved. If the problem persists, further troubleshooting may be needed.
