If you have a thread break and need to rewind your design, you’ll first need to ensure the settings on your panel have entered into “float mode.” The term “float” refers to fast-forwarding or rewinding.
To access this feature, you’ll need to ensure your embroidery machine is on the locked embroidery status mode. To confirm this, ensure the “lock” icon on your control panel is in the “locked” position.
Once you’ve confirmed the embroidery status mode is locked, you can enter into “float mode.” To do this, locate and press the “embroidery status” key (the key represented by a zig-zag line and a needle), located on the left side of the “lock” icon. Once you press on this key, it will switch to the “F.L” icon (the “F.L” stands for floating at low speed). The “F.L” icon is an indication that your panel and machine is set to “float mode.” Now, you can begin the rewinding process.
Here’s a brief video explaining how to enter “float mode” on your panel:
To resolve your issue, follow the instructions listed below:
- After setting the “float mode” on your panel, press the “STOP” button on your control panel and hold it for two seconds, then let go.
- After pressing the "STOP" button on your control panel, the machine will automatically rewind the embroidery process. During this time, please guide yourself to viewing the image on the screen of your panel and choose the desired location placement.
- Once you’ve spotted the desired location of where you’d like to restart your design, quickly stop the machine by pressing the "STOP" button on your panel, again. This time, be sure to press it once and let go immediately. (There is no need to hold.)
- Next, locate the light on your machine’s head. Then, locate the switch beneath the light. After you see it, pull the switch down, then up. This will let the machine know you have now reset it and want the stitching to start in the specific location you chose.
- Next, make sure you press your "embroidery status" key (represented by a zig-zag line and a needle, located next to the "lock" icon) before pressing the "Start" button.
- Finally, press "Start" to have your machine begin stitching from the desired location.
