Hot Stamping Foil
Step by step instructions on how to add gold foil to your work!
1. Complete a shirt on the heat press doing the normal process you have been using - the gold foil is the last step you add
2. Warm up the bottom platen ( 310F for 300 secs )
3. Cut a piece of gold foil matching the size and shape of the design on the shirt you want to add the effect to. You can mix and match different color foils on the same shirt so you only need to press it once
4. Add the shirt to the press - then the Hot stamping foil (already cut to fit the design on the shirt you want the gold effect on) and then add the Teflon paper on top of that
A) you can always use heat-resistant tape to hold down the foil so it doesn't move while you add the Foil and Teflon!
5) Press the heat press at 310F for 30 seconds
6) Remove the Teflon and press down the foil with a cloth - let the shirt cool down for 3-5 minutes.
7) Remove the foil from the shirt - this is the same process as when you remove a transfer sheet from the shirt ( slow and low! )
8) Put the shirt back on the press and add the Teflon on top and do one more press at 310F for 20 seconds to lock up the design!
9) Admire the good work you did!
