Keep Your Printer Running at Peak Performance. Maintenance isn’t optional—it’s a must!
To keep your DTG Vision printer performing at its highest level, regular maintenance is critical. These three simple but essential routines help prevent white ink clogs, preserve print quality, and avoid costly downtime.

Whether you’re running daily jobs or printing a few times a week, staying on top of your maintenance schedule ensures smooth operation and extends the life of your machine.

In this article, we’ll guide you through the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks you need to follow to protect your investment and get the most out of your Vision printer.

Daily Maintenance

You can refer to the video below:

  • Remove and agitate both of your white ink cartridges for 50 seconds. Your machine will alert you to do so every 12 hours.

Perform a daily nozzle check

Performing a daily nozzle check is one of the most important habits you want to build into your printing routine. This quick maintenance step helps ensure your printer is functioning properly and that your prints come out clean, vibrant, and free of defects.

Here’s why it matters:

  • Prevents Print Defects: Catch clogged or misfiring nozzles before they affect your prints.

  • Reduces Downtime: Identifying issues early means less troubleshooting and fewer delays.

  • Saves Ink and Material: Avoid wasting film, powder, and ink on reprints due to poor quality.

  • Keeps the Print Head Healthy: Regular checks help prolong the life of your print head by encouraging consistent ink flow and minimizing buildup.

💡 Pro Tip: Make it a part of your start-of-day routine—just like preheating your heat press. It takes less than a minute and can save you hours of frustration.

A clean nozzle check = a smooth print day!

Weekly Maintenance

Needed Materials: Cleaning Fluid, lint-free wipes, cleaning jig, & lint-free applicators. You can refer to the video below:

You will start by going into your machine's panel to locate your maintenance tab.

Next, click on Regular maintenance. When it asks "Are you sure?" click on yes.

You will now press and hold the screen power button for several seconds to prompt the printer to turn off. Now turn off the printer using the power switch on the back of the machine as well.

After the printer is fully off, open up the top printer cover.

You will start by cleaning the maintenance station, as shown in the video.

After cleaning the maintenance station, to clean the print head, begin by placing the cleaning jig onto the print head. This jig is designed to make contact only with the least delicate areas of the print head, ensuring targeted cleaning where it's most needed.

Monthly Maintenance

The monthly maintenance will consist of cleaning and re-greasing your printer's guide rails.

Needed Materials: Lint-free clothes, Machine Grease (or white lithium grease)

You will start by going into your machine's panel to locate your maintenance tab.

Next, click on Regular maintenance. When it asks "Are you sure?" click on yes.

You will now press and hold the screen power button for several seconds to prompt the printer to turn off. Now turn off the printer using the power switch on the back of the machine as well.

After the printer is fully off, open up the top printer cover to locate your guide rails.

Manually slide the print head from left to right while using a clean, lint-free wipe to thoroughly clean the rails. Once the rails are fully wiped down, grab a new lint-free wipe and use it to apply fresh grease evenly along the rails, as demonstrated in the attached video.

After re-greasing, slide the print head from left to right across the full length of the rails to ensure smooth movement and to evenly distribute the grease.
